The visit to the springs is approximately one hour after which your land tour continues and takes you on a sightseeing tour of the Old Capital Town of Soufriere. The land leg of your tour concludes and the sea portion of you tour commences along the west coast where you take a glimpse into the history of the quaint fishing villages along the coast and experience the magnificence of the majestic Pitons a World Heritage site by sea. The boat makes a stop at the Canaries bay for a swim for approximately 30 minutes. Continuing on your sea trek, get your cameras ready as the boat pulls in to make a circuit of the picturesque Marigot Bay, used as a location for many films including Dr. Doolittle. Your tour heads south to Marigot Bay known for its splendor and charm and popular movie experiences to the lookout point with breathtaking views of this historic bay and the surrounding valleys. Continuing on, you next head down to the Roseau valley with its endless banana plantations where you will learn about the history of the banana industry and its role in the development of our island. The tour continues to a small rum distillery situated in the scenically beautiful and agriculturally rich Roseau valley where you will get to experience the Rhythm of Rum Tour. The tour moves along the Castries Market constructed in 1891 by building engineers. The Tour heads north along the John Compton Highway and the Castries Gros Islet Highway to Rodney Bay, named after the wide blue arc of waters off Saint Lucia’s northern coast, which is flanked by a series of beautiful beaches including the sweeping golden strand of Reduit Beach and the white coral stretch at pigeon island. From Rodney Bay we drive further north to the Pigeon Island National Landmark, heralded as one of the most important monuments of Saint Lucia’s history.
